Geo-PDF Maps for New Madrid Seismic Zone Impact Assessment - Illinois

 The Mid-America Earthquake Center is working to improve its map products which help facilitate numerous emergency planning workshops throughout the central U.S. New Geo-PDFs allow users to manipulate GIS-based map layers through the Adobe Acrobat Reader program. Users can turn layers on and off to show various forms of damage and loss, measure distances and areas, add numerous facility markers to the maps among various other useful features. In order to use these features each user must first download a free toolbar for Acrobat Reader from the link below. This will add the necessary toolbars to the Acrobat Reader program. In addition, users may be interested in reviewing the Geo-PDF tutorial for the Acrobat Reader Geo-PDF Toolbar at the link below. There are both video and written documentation options for this tutorial.

Currently, only a sample of the Geo-PDF map products are available. Please download the sample Geo-PDF at the link below which details the damage and loss results from the MAE Center's Phase I Earthquake Impact Assessment for the State of Illinois.
