RFD Radio Network Interviews MAE Center Personnel About FEMA Study
MAE Center Managing Director, Timothy Gress, and Technical Project Manager, Lisa Cleveland were recently interviewed on the RFD Radio Network by RFD Today Host Alan Jarand. The topic of the April 4, 2008 interview was the MAE Center Report, ‘Impact of Earthquakes on the Central USA’. The report details the Phase I outcomes of one of the largest and most comprehensive earthquake consequence assessment projects ever funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The report contains earthquake impact assessments for the 8 central US (CUSEC) states, and lists damage and other consequences to the built environment as well as social and economic impacts resulting from catastrophic earthquakes produced by the New Madrid, Wabash Valley, and East Tennessee seismic zones.
