Organizations Are Spreading the Word about New MAE Center Report
News stories, announcing the release of the MAE Center's new comprehensive report, "Impact of Earthquakes on the Central USA", are springing up on several different domestic and international organizations' websites. The Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI), Central United States Earthquake Consortium (CUSEC), and the National Earthquake Hazards Reduction Program (NEHRP), The Global Alliance for Disaster Reduction (GADR), National Safety Council (NSC), and Civil Engineering Portal websites are all featuring stories about the report

The report is the outcome of one of the largest and most comprehensive earthquake consequence assessment projects funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The report contains earthquake impact assessments for the 8 central US states, and lists damage and other consequences to the built environment as well as social and economic impacts.
