The UIUC Society of Women Engineers (SWE) hosted a “Take Our Daughters/Sons to Work†event on Thursday, April 22. Children of UIUC faculty and staff toured engineering and science laboratories as well as watched various demonstrations.
The UIUC Society of Women Engineers (SWE) hosted a “Take Our Daughters/Sons to Work†event on Thursday, April 22. Children of UIUC faculty and staff toured engineering and science laboratories as well as watched various demonstrations. MAE Center graduate students Tracy Smith and Can Simsir explored the performance of building structures during an earthquake with the children. The visitors also watched a video on earthquake preparedness and safety in the New Madrid Seismic Zone.
