MAE Center Participates in 14th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering

The 14th World Conference on Earthquake Engineering was held in Beijing, China, October 12 – 17, bringing together hundreds of researchers, students, practitioners and professional engineers from around the world. Several past and present MAE Center researchers and students attended the conference. More than 20 presentations, listed at the end, were delivered by MAE Center related people throughout the conference.

The Center was well represented at the conference! In addition to the technical sessions offered at the conference, participants also had the opportunity to discover the cultural and historical heritage of China through local tours organized in Beijing.

Left to right, MAE Center Visiting Scholar, Luigi Di Sarno, PhD. Student Bora Gencturk,
and Director, Amr Elnashai attend poster session at 14th World Conference on Earthquake
Engineering in Beijing, China.
