New liquefaction assessment capability added to MAEviz
MAEviz Buried Pipeline Analysis Tool now has the capability to assess
liquefaction effects on buried pipelines utilizing liquefaction algorithms
and damage functions.
MAEviz users have the
option to see estimated pipeline repairs due to ground shaking,
liquefaction, or both combined by utilizing liquefaction susceptibility maps
of the region of interest. The new capability was implemented as part of a
project conducted in cooperation with Laclede Gas and CenterPoint Energy to
assess the seismic performance of the natural gas pipelines operated by the
companies.
