Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day 2006

Take Your Daughters and Sons to Work Day, sponsored by the Society of Women Engineers, and was held on UIUC campus, April, 27, 2006.  The visitors varied in age from 1st to 6th grade.  This is a national event with hundreds of thousands of girls and boys across America participating.  It is designed to focus on ideas, the future, and dreams.  MAE Center graduate students Lisa Cleveland, Oh-Sung Kwon, and Dean Mitchell gave a tour of the Newmark Laboratory facilities and presented a earthquake preparedness and safety program.
