EERI 2004 Annual Meeting

The EERI 2004 Annual Meeting was held February 4-5 at the Omni Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. Theme for the meeting was Ten Years after Northridge.  More than 300 participants took part in a program packed with presentations dealing with earthquake engineering and science since the Northridge earthquake.

The MAE Center was an exhibitor at the conference and a subscribing member of EERI for a sixth year. MAE Center graduate student Tracy Smith, University of Illinois at Urban-Champaign, attended the conference. Tracy is the MAE Center Student Leadership Council 2004 chair-person.  Tracy met with PEER and MCEER students to discuss tri-Center activities and arrangements were made for a conference call to discuss the 2005 undergraduate seismic design competition.
